In this masterclass, we break down the evolution of a track — from the very first idea to the final master. Together, we analyse a complete Ableton project and explore how a song can transform across countless versions: which elements survive, which disappear, and why sometimes almost nothing of the original idea remains.
Using a concrete example, we show how an initial sketch can evolve through different stages — from the first loop in Ableton to mixdown decisions, plugin workflows and the final master.
Participants will gain practical insight into contemporary electronic music production and the creative process behind turning a rough idea into a finished track.
